Labs, in-office medications, and many procedures are available to members at cost. For services that are also available to non-members, pricing is shown below so you can easily compare your options.

Frequently Asked Questions About Membership

Yes. Blue Ocean simply does not bill insurance for services provided within our practice. You can continue using your health insurance for outside medical care such as specialists, hospitals, imaging, surgery, and other covered services.

Direct Primary Care is not health insurance. We recommend maintaining appropriate coverage for significant medical expenses that fall outside the scope of primary care, such as hospitalization, emergency care, surgery, and specialist treatment.

No copay is required for routine member office visits. Certain procedures, laboratory tests, medications, pathology, cultures, and other services may have an additional transparent fee.

Because Blue Ocean intentionally maintains a smaller patient panel, members can typically access same- or next-day appointments when needed and when availability allows.

Yes. Direct physician access is an important part of the Blue Ocean model. Members can communicate directly with their physician for appropriate medical questions and concerns.

No. Membership is month-to-month and can be canceled without a long-term commitment.

A re-enrollment fee applies if you cancel your membership and later decide to rejoin the practice.

Yes. Blue Ocean practices family medicine and cares for both children and adults. Households with three or more members can enroll under the family membership rate of $300 per month.

Blue Ocean can address a broad range of medical needs within our office, but specialty care is sometimes necessary. When it is, we can help coordinate your referral and continue managing your overall care.

Blue Ocean is a primary care practice and does not replace emergency medical services. For a true medical emergency, call 911 or seek appropriate emergency care.
