SMS Terms of Service

By opting into SMS text messaging from Blue Ocean Direct Primary Care, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
- Program Description: Blue Ocean Direct Primary Care, through its provider Spruce Health, sends SMS messages to patients for appointment reminders, schedule changes, cancellations, account notifications, and administrative updates related to your care.
- Message Frequency: Message frequency varies depending on your appointment schedule and care needs.
- Rates: Standard message and data rates may apply from your wireless carrier. Blue Ocean Direct Primary Care does not charge a fee for SMS messages, but your carrier’s standard rates for receiving and sending text messages still apply.
- Opt-Out: You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text “STOP” to our practice messaging number. After you send the SMS message “STOP” to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us.
- Help: If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program, you can reply with the keyword “HELP” for more assistance, or you can contact our office directly via the phone number listed on our contact page.
- Interruption: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

- No Sharing of SMS Data: No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
- Text Message Origin: SMS text messages from Blue Ocean Direct Primary Care will originate from our authorized practice phone numbers. We recommend saving our official practice numbers to your contacts to ensure you recognize our communications.
- Data Security: We use a variety of security measures, including the secure Spruce Health platform, to help maintain the safety of your personal information.
- Changes to this Policy: We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website at blueoceanfamilymedicine.com.
